ANTI DDOS
DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks are one of the most serious threats to companies operating on the Internet. In the event of a successful attack, servers and IT infrastructure can be overloaded to the point that access to services is completely blocked. This is not only financial losses, but also a serious blow to the company’s image. Customers who encounter problems with access to your site may quickly abandon further cooperation. In times when the number of devices connected to the Internet is constantly growing and DDoS attacks are becoming more complex, reliable anti-DDoS protection is essential to maintain the stability and security of your online business.
The attack consists of overloading the target (e.g. server or website) with a large number of requests, which makes it inaccessible to normal users. The attacker uses a network of infected devices (botnet) to do this, which simultaneously send requests to the selected target, causing overload and preventing its normal functioning.
At the Artnet Data Center, we attach the utmost importance to the security of customer data and the availability of services. Incoming traffic is actively monitored and analyzed 365 days a year. Each service is covered by advanced, multi-level protection against DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attacks, which consists of:
- Andrisoft Wanguard system – a leader in DDoS protection, an award-winning enterprise-class software solution designed to monitor and protect large WAN networks against volumetric DDoS attacks. The sensor and filter infrastructure located on the edge of the Artnet network constantly analyzes traffic to customer servers, automatically identifies and eliminates malicious traffic.
- Additional Anti-DDoS protection: in the case of large and very large attacks that can have a significant impact on the operation of the network, we activate an additional layer of protection, thanks to the support of one of our trusted operators with whom we are connected.
- Black-holing – triggered in extreme situations, in the event of a very large attack that could negatively affect the operation of the Artnet network and the services of other clients.
How does protection work in the event of a small and medium attack?
1. Attack detection
When a DDoS attack is detected, the monitoring system immediately identifies it and notifies the NOC. Depending on the type and size of the attack, protection mechanisms can be activated automatically or after consultation with the Client. Administrators analyze and classify the incident, then contact the client to inform him about the attack.
2. Attack neutralization
The mitigation process involves passing network traffic through the Andrisoft Wanguard system, which selectively filters traffic using advanced algorithms. This system effectively identifies and neutralizes the threat while ensuring smooth data flow.
3. End of mitigation
To ensure the highest standard of service, the end of the attack neutralization process is determined in cooperation with the client. This approach ensures that the client has full control over the process and confidence that their infrastructure is secure.
DDoS attacks are evolving, so solutions must be constantly updated to dynamically respond to emerging new threats.
Protection systems have been developed and implemented to ensure customer security even in the face of attacks exceeding several dozen Gbps.
